Stutton Horticultural Society’s 74th Annual Flower Show will be held on Saturday 18th July. Schedules are now available in the shop – make sure you pick one up and start sowing and growing! There are also lots of classes for baking and crafts – so make a note in your diary!
Following a request, we are pleased to say that in addition to our tasty bread from the Vicarage Bakery, we are now starting to sell a limited number of Kingsmill loaves on Fridays ready for sandwiches and packed lunches. If you are interested and we have sold out, please ask for a note to be made in our diary so that we can order a few extra loaves ready for the next Friday’s delivery.
The Seville Oranges have arrived in the shop and the price is £1.60 per kilo. We have all you need to make your batch of orange marmalade – and don’t forget to make an extra jar to enter into the Stutton Horticultural Show on Saturday 18th July!
Thank you to all our customers and volunteers for your much valued support during the year.
With very Best Wishes for Christmas and a Happy New Year.

The shop first opened its doors on 12th December 2008 – six whole years ago! It is a huge tribute to our happy band of volunteers that we have managed to keep the doors open every day over this time apart from scheduled Bank Holiday closures. Nevertheless we do open in the mornings on most Bank Holiday Mondays throughout the year, and we count ourselves as being very lucky to have such a reliable and dedicated team of volunteers. We are delighted that the Shop continues to be a success and provides a valuable service to our community.
Our Christmas opening hours will be posted in the next couple of days.

We often get comments in the Community Shop about what good value some of our products are. We can’t always compete with supermarkets but we can sometimes undercut them by taking advantage of current offers. So for example, this week we took advantage of offers on: Ryvita, Persil tablets, Dairylea slices, Country Life butter, Carte d’or ice cream, Green and Black chocolate (milk, dark, mint, hazelnut and currant, as well as milk and dark cooking chocolate), Alpen cereal (no added sugar, 1.1kg). These are just some examples of products we currently stock at prices less than you can buy in one of the supermarkets. And did you know that our eggs, free range from a local supplier, are always cheaper than you can get in a supermarket or other local shops? So – on your doorstep, good prices and friendly service. What’s not to like?
